Sunday 20th August 2017, Surrey Trust Play Off Final vs Thames Ditton
So before the the first innings began we had a very intense game of football, the highlights were Wilbur destroying Max and Max faking an injury also Buck not passing no surprises there and me loosing the game for my team in penalty shootout.
Anyway Skipper Wardy lost the toss and we were batting first. Scott and Buck opened up, Buck started well by hitting a four off his second ball then stupidly gives his wicket away. Tom Graham was looking to build a partnership with Scott who looked very comfortable and in great shape. Back at the pavilion we had to listen to Buck crying.. (as per usual).
After Tom trying to go big and getting caught it was then Wardy who had a opportunity to impress the local fans. Kelsey now picking up regular boundaries and in full flow he reached his 50, while ward was content in playing tap and run. Ward then falls in the most unlikeliest ways. At this point we started to loose wickets cheaply but Scott still going strong forward for his ton. A couple overs later Scott got his 100 which we needed to get over the 200 mark and Scott ended up getting a hugely important 119 before being bowled. Dorking ended up 204 all out off 39.1 overs with Scott also hitting 2 Big Bombs. (I would of got 4)
We had a very nice tea thanks to a Sammy Howlett, I was shocked at Toby discussing about his dead rabbit and then talking about the new additional ' Pandora'
We started the second innings in a incredible position due to Scott getting out there danger man in the first over , Wardy at the other end bowling very tight. William got a ball straight to the face due to missing the ball which I secretly enjoyed watching. After Wardys spell came on Travis who was doing all sorts with the ball making the batsman hit the the ball up and edging it. After Scott's spell Charlie came on bowling very well picking up 2 wickets. Max Ridler with his hurt ankle managed to bowl really well getting 2 wickets.
Dorking fileded very tightly with intensity from the first ball to the last ball.
Dorking bowled Thames Ditton all out for 89
Now let's win the final...
